SMPS OC's 2024-2025 President's Message

I am deeply honored to step into the role of President for SMPS Orange County. New beginnings are always thrilling, and I’m excited to embark on this journey with all of you. I joined SMPS in 2001, which means that when I leave the board as past president, I’ll be a member for a quarter of a century. Put your party hat and your dancing shoes on, because we will definitely have a celebration.

First, a heartfelt thank you to the outgoing board as well as our past-president Lissa Moon, and the previous past-president, Suzie Bravo. Your past leadership has been invaluable, and your future contributions are greatly appreciated. Let’s also give a warm welcome to our incoming board members. I am eager to work alongside each of them to expand our horizons. Stay tuned as we introduce them on LinkedIn.

As someone who grew up traveling extensively and having lived in Texas, Libya, and the Philippines, ending up in California (I attended three different high schools), I’ve had the privilege of experiencing diverse and wonderful cultures firsthand. My goal during my term is to bring that spirit of exploration and learning to our marketing efforts, broadening our perspectives one topic at a time.
