Back by popular demand, SMPS Orange County is pleased to present the 3rd Annual Economic Forecast. This event is designed to help you determine the direction for your annual marketing plan by providing an analysis of economic research necessary to understand where the economy is going so you can make informed decisions as you take action to build business in 2020. Raymond Sfeir, Ph.D. from Chapman University, will bring you the geographic perspective of the California economy. Chapman University analyzes the California economy and greater global economic trends, which allows Raymond to address fluctuations and growth tailored to our region, such as design and construction, housing, employment, and personal income related to the cost of living.

Raymond Sfeir, Ph.D
Director of the Anderson Center for Economic Research and Professor of Economics
Chapman University

Dr. Sfeir served for eighteen years as Associate Provost and then as Vice Chancellor of Chaman University. He teaches microeconomics, statistics, and forecasting. His research interests include operations research, capital asset pricing models and applied economics. Dr. Sfeir produces the California, Orange County, and Inland Empire forecasts. He also conducts the quarterly survey of purchasing managers in California and is quoted frequently in the media. He is currently studying the performance of the manufacturing sector in California.
