April Luncheon – Making a Splash with SMWD & OCSD!

Tuesday April 10th, 2018 11:30 am – 1:30 pm  at Andrei’s Cuisine.

Please join us as we learn from two of the most prominent water/wastewater districts in Southern California: the Santa Margarita Water District (SMWD) and the Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD). As the second largest retail water agency in Orange County, by area, and third largest by customers served, SMWD serves over 165,000 customers. During this session, we learn from Chief Engineer Tricia Butler about the upcoming opportunities throughout SMWD’s 1,200+ miles of water and sewer lines across the District’s 62,674-acre service area.  OCSD provides wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal services for approximately 2.6 million people in central and northwest Orange County covering 479 square miles. OCSD has two operating facilities that treat wastewater from residential, commercial, and industrial sources. Rob Thompson, Assistant General Manager and Director of Engineering, will walk us through opportunities with OCSD and what the future of wastewater in Orange County holds.
